Did you know…VMware environments running vSphere 4.1 and below will not support Windows Server 2012? It’s time for a vSphere Upgrade.

Following the recent launch of Windows Server 2012, many organisations will be looking to upgrade to the latest server platform from Microsoft. But, as a necessary first step, you need to get your vCenter environment up to date (version 5.1).

Oriel’s Special Upgrade Offer

Oriel’s IT Services team has a wealth of experience in upgrading corporate VMware environments, and we are able to offer a special fixed price upgrade service enabling you to save money and enjoy a hassle–free upgrade:

  • vCenter Server Upgrade: FIXED PRICE $650 per server*
  • Host Server Upgrade: FIXED PRICE $320 per host**

Oriel is also able to upgrade your data stores for a fixed price – but there are more variables at work here, so each quote for data store upgrades will be on a case by case basis.

All work is carried out by Oriel’s VMware certified engineers.

Licensing Costs

The fixed price service does not include any new licences that may be required – but the good news is that customers running vSphere version 4.0 or 4.1 will be able to upgrade with no additional licensing costs provided they have a current maintenance agreement. Any customer running vSphere version 5.0 can upgrade their licence to 5.1 for free.

* assumes upgrade of vCenter database rather than “clean build’
** assumes upgrade rather than “clean build”, and sufficient spare processing and memory capacity across the host environment enabling down time for one host during business hours
